Below are some of the websites that I took a big part in creating and maintaining. The first three are sites with instructional design components.
Diabetes Intervention
This small course was built for a class at WVU. It is designed to teach kids from 14-18 yrs. old about diabetes. It is not a full semester long course but, it is concise and informative. Certain assignments are designed to get the students to participate with each other in a small competition using epistemic techniques such as arguing, explication, and critique. I used rubrics to teach students how to argue and explicate. (see Diet Activity in the Intervention module).

W.R. Booker & Company
Rob Booker & Steve Nison |
About the links below, the first one is to the main training site. The second is a blog I created for Rob Booker used to warehouse our online synchronous classes. The third is an online training component for Rob's live face to face training. As I looked at these sites, a lot of the videos were removed. They were quirky, entertaining, educational and I wish everybody could see them. Regardless of all the well designed assignments and Problem Based Learning projects, nothing can take place of a well presented and engaging presentation. Rob Booker taught me a lot about that - he is one of the best when it comes to being an engaging instructor.

As part of UVSC’s Multimedia Creations and Continuing Education Departments, I worked in a team environment in order to convert live face to face classes into online courses. Most of the classes that I helped developed are no longer available to view due to permissions.
Later, I moved to the web development departments where I worked a a project manager for the team that developed the UVU website.

Slab Pizza
SLABpizza is owned and run by Eric Beutler. Eric is an old friend of mine who makes really great pizza.
Along with the general design (excluding the logo) I created a simple customer relationship module. CRM allowed Eric to track and email promotions to customers.
